Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy - KAP
Where your instinct to heal gains experience
Ketamine therapy rapidly supports improved mood and functioning, new perceptions and insights. It consolidates gains and deepens the impact of therapy, building for sustained change, all by stimulating the regenerativity of the body, mind and person.
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
Ketamine is a legal, safe and fast acting medicine used to treat a variety of conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. It has been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity, which is your brain’s physical ability to heal and form new connectivity.
When Ketamine is taken as part of a therapy process, it helps solidify the insights gained during your session, turning them into lasting change. The more intentional your efforts, the greater the long-term benefits for your mental health and well-being.
In the KAP process, you'll participate in guided activities in three phases: preparation, medicine, and post integration. The number and frequency of sessions is customized based on your needs.
What is Kristina's Approach to KAP?
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in partnership with Journey Clinical is one of several therapeutic modalities I offer that focus on treating the way the physical body influences people’s outlooks and experiences.
My approach to ketamine assisted psychotherapy offers trauma sensitive care and weaves a variety of counseling techniques, both somatic awareness tools and conversation approaches, to draw forth and support your ability to center and witness yourself in process. This includes lnternal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, collage work, and somatic nervous system regulation practices.
I would be honored to support you. You can learn more about my approach below or use the "Book Now" button above to sign up for a consultation to talk with me and see if KAP and working with me feels like a good fit for you.

"Kristina's understanding really helped guide my experience and let me reach further than I have before. I felt seen and supported, and for once my interest in actually healing won out over the fear. I don't want to forget this experiences--meaning the one I am beginning to have of myself."

My name is Kristina
and I will walk with the river with you as you chart a new course.
I am interested in fostering your ability to relate more fully to your experiences, self, others and the world with care and with interest. I want to support your resolution of the past and your sense of purpose and meaning, one that you feel into and know your way back to, so it can carry you forward.
It is my goal to offer you re-orienting experiences in sessions that will foster your fuller ability to reflect, know and experience connections and relief from old patterns. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment patterns.

My process is a convergence of Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, somatics, radical acceptance and embodied meditation, transpersonal and motivational therapies, trauma informed CBT, relational pattern healing and body focused interventions like mindfulness, breathwork and vagus nerve regulation.
Together these address the thinking, physical body and nervous system, relational and emotional patterns, and the influence of systems that inform identity and functioning for better well being.
My trauma and mental health crisis work of the past 30 years informs my approach. I worked in mental health crisis, trauma and casework services for over a decade before returning to school for my Masters degree at Scranton University’s Counseling Program. I graduated in 2013 with qualifications to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a K-12 School Counselor. I am also a licensed massage therapist.
